Brian Flores’ Monday Morning Media Presser

Head Coach Brian Flores met with the media Monday morning to start off Week 2 of training camps, here are the news and notes from the presser:


On Rookie Jevon Holland, who was playing as the second team Free Safety, Flores mentions he’s a smart kid, hardworking and tries to be like a sponge gaining as much information he can. Noted that Jason McCourty, Eric Rowe and Xavien Howard are mentoring him

The Miami Dolphins today announced that they have signed tight ends Sal Cannella and Kalif Jackson.

The team also activated wide receiver Devante Parker off the PUP list and placed wide receiver Preston Williams on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Flores declined to mention the health of Co-Offensive Coordinator George Godsey citing it is a private health matter. TE’s Mike Gesicki, Cethan Carter and Adam Shaheen are also on the Reserve/COVID-19 list

The looming COVID-19 rules have made the Organization and Staff flexible, Coach Flores talked about being flexible and plans in place just in case someone goes down

Speaking of Flexibility, Liam Eichenberg has been tried out at different spots along the Offensive Line

Coach Flores stated that he is continuing to “have dialogue with ‘X’ about that” in reference to his current Trade request. He mentioned that things are “moving in the right direction”

On Tua Tagovailoa, Brian Flores mentions he’s gotten off to a good start but its still an early process, not only for Tua but the rest of the QB room and the team.

Padded Practice begins Tuesday and everyone is excited for tomorrow. It will come down to Communication, Technique, and Fundamentals.
