Depth desired; is CJ the right CB?

Let’s play a little game. I’m going to list some stats and measurements from two former Florida CBs and you tell me who they are…

Player A: 6 INTs and 20 PDs in 30 games. 6’1, 204lbs, 4.39 40, 37.5″ vert, 10’7 broad, 20 bench reps

Player B: 3 INTs and 17 PDs in 32 games. 6’0, 196lbs, 4.37 40, 43.5″ vert, 11’4 broad, 26 bench reps

If you guessed CJ Henderson and Marco Wilson you are correct.

CB depth is still weak and should be addressed, but CJ Henderson doesn’t fit the mold of what AZ is now coveting in their corners. Vance Joseph admitted a few weeks ago that they put an emphasis on adding CBs who don’t just cover but tackle as well. And Henderson is known to be an unwilling tackler.

Many fans are intrigued by Henderson but a trade for him doesn’t make sense to me considering the Jaguars likely asking price of a late 1st or early 2nd in return.

A single injury to the CB room could put AZ in big trouble. Expect Keim to add another CB for depth after camp cuts.
