Looking forward: Thunder vs Hornets.

When: October 4th, 7pm ET.

Where: Paycom Center. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Who: Oklahoma City Thunder vs Charlotte Hornets.

SUMMARY-

The Thunder will open the preseason against the Charlotte Hornets in the newly renamed Paycom Center. The preseason exhibition game will give Thunder fans a chance to rookies Josh Giddey, Jeremiah Robinson Earl, Aaron Wiggins, and Tre Mann up close and personal for the first time. Being an exhibition, it is unlikely we will see a lot (if any) of  Shai Gilgeous Alexander, Luguentz Dort, etc.

The Hornets will bring the 2020-2021 NBA Rookie of the Year Lamelo Ball, along with Rookie scoring machine James Bouknight and his fellow draftmates Kai Jones, JT Thor, and Scottie Lewis. The Hornets are one of the teams some people are slating as a potential playoff team, so this exhibition matchup should be a good one for the Thunder to get their feet wet if the Hornets give their “stars” any run at all.

Potential Starting Lineups-

Thunder-

PG:Shai Gilgeous Alexander

SG: Luguentz Dort

SF:Josh Giddey

PF:Darius Bazley

C: Derrick Favors

Hornets-

PG:Lamelo Ball

SG:Terry Rozier

SF:Miles Bridges

PF:Gordon Hayward

C: Mason Plumlee

Prediction-

The Hornets will have somewhat of a more experienced group out there on the floor at times, and that experience will prove too much for a young and inexperienced Thunder team.

CHARLOTTE HORNETS: 115

OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER: 104
