Steve Sarkisian and Kyle Flood have been busy on the recruiting trail, and it is finally paying off. As the Texas Longhorns land their second five-star offensive lineman in Devon Campbell. Campbell comes in as the number one interior offensive lineman and the number ten overall player in the country (according to 247sports composite rankings).
Campbell is a consensus five-star and Under Armour All-American. He is also the highest ranked offensive line recruit Texas has ever landed. Give huge props to Sark and Flood for winning out in his recruitment. Coming out of the season all of us here at Longhorns ATB said Sark and staff need to hit on 2-3 more offensive line prospects and they do just that Banks and now Campbell.
Campbell will come in with a chance to start right away. The Texas offensive line was far from stellar this past season. Adding Campbell will definitely give that offensive line room a huge boost and rightfully so. In the end Devon Campbell gets to live the dream as a Texas Longhorns offensive lineman and we get to see an elite player dominate opposing teams for three to four years.
If you’re a Texas Longhorns football fan you should start to get excited about the 2022 season. Things are changing on the Forty Acres and I’m excited to witness it.
