Time flies! We are already nearing the mid-point of the college football season, but we are just beginning to hit our stride. Last week, we went 2-1 again, taking us to 10-8 on the year! In terms of units, we were up 0.8 units for the week, since we didn’t hit our big money line pick with Washington State. However, it did help put us comfortably up 1.22 units on the year.

Let’s get started and dive into the best bets for Week 7 of the college football season!
California at #16 Utah: Under 44 (-110)
Utah is back! That means more free money from betting the under. The Utes have not missed an under yet, and most of them have not been anywhere near the over. Their defense is stout, and the offense is non-existent. A big reason why is the absence of quarterback Cam Rising, whose availability remains a mystery. Even if he plays, don’t expect too many offensive fireworks from Utah.
They likely won’t need it, as they are playing a mediocre Cal team. The Golden Bears have been up-and-down this year, but struggled against every above-average team they have played. If they couldn’t muster more than 10 points against Auburn, it will be a struggle to get beyond single digits against Utah. This will be an ugly 20-7 game. Mash the under.
Iowa at Wisconsin: Iowa ML (+285)
Speaking of ugly football, this might be the most boring “big” game of the week. This tilt will likely determine who comes out of the Big 10 West. It won’t be exciting, but it will be close.
As much as Iowa has been the butt of jokes this year for their offensive struggles, they’ve played pretty well as a team. The defense is really solid, and the offense has only looked truly horrible against Penn State. Wisconsin has not been particularly impressive, and they lost their only test this year to Washington State. This game is a toss-up. Iowa offers way too much value to ignore at +264.
#25 Miami at #12 North Carolina: Miami ML (+145)
The odds on this would look a lot different had the Hurricanes not f***ed around and found out last week against Georgia Tech. The game should not have been that close, but Miami still should have won that game. Don’t let that loss cloud how you judge this team. This squad is still solid and a threat to make the ACC title game.
While North Carolina has the better record and ranking, the Tarheels are one of the most fragile undefeated teams in the country. They have already had one close call with Appalachian State. It seems unlikely that they run the table. Looking at the remaining schedule, Miami looks like one of the best candidates to knock them off. The vibes feel really good with this pick, and the +145 odds don’t hurt either.
